NBC News Daily Ranks as #1 Afternoon News Program on All of TV
Jan. 18, 2024 — NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on all of television last week with 265,000 A25-54 viewers, topping ABC’s GMA3 in the key demo, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. This marks NBC News Daily’s 12th demo weekly win over GMA3 in the last 15 weeks, most recently by +49,000 (+23%).
Averaging 1.32 million total viewers, NBC News Daily hit a seven-week high, increasing viewership by +17,000 (+1%) vs. last week. The broadcast was the only one to increase total viewers vs. same week last season, narrowing its gap vs. GMA3 by 54%.
Season-to-date, NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on all of television, including broadcast and cable. NBC News Daily has also narrowed the total viewer gap vs. GMA3 by 49% vs. the same point last season.
NBC News Daily reaches even more viewers on its NBC News NOW streaming platform. Morgan Radford and Vicky Nguyen anchor the 12-2 p.m. ET hours, with Kate Snow and Zinhle Essamuah anchoring the 2-4 p.m. ET hours.
NBC NEWS DAILY ranks #1 over GMA3 in A25-54 and A18-49 viewers for the second week in a row.
