Delivers Biggest Audience in Four Months, Best Key Demo Audience in Three Months

Wins Seventh Straight Broadcast in Key Demo, Topping Competition by Double-Digits

Continues as #1 Season-to-Date Across the Board With Best Total Viewer Advantages in Five Years

AUGUST 15, 2017 – NBC News’ “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday public affairs program across the board on August 13, according to Nielsen data.

3.606 million total viewers tuned into the broadcast this past Sunday – the show’s biggest audience in four months (since April 9). MTP beat ABC’s “This Week” by nine percent (+288,000) and CBS’ “Face the Nation” by five percent (+164,000); this is MTP’s largest total viewer advantage over CBS in three months (since May 14).

MTP continued its dominance in the demo most valued by news advertisers, winning its seventh consecutive broadcast among A25-54 viewers. With 1.104 million demo viewers tuning into the program, MTP outperformed the competition by double-digits – +21 percent (+188,000) more than ABC and +36 percent (+291,000) more than CBS – marking its biggest advantages over ABC and CBS in almost two months (since June 25 and June 18, respectively). This past Sunday was MTP’s best delivery in the key demo audience in three months (since May 14).

The network broadcast continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the influential market of Washington, D.C., outperforming the competition across the board and winning every Sunday in total viewers since March 22, 2015.

An additional 2.608 million total viewers and 547,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP this past Sunday through rebroadcasts on MSNBC.

Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, posting its biggest audience growth compared to last season across the board: gaining three percent (+93,000) in total viewers and seven percent (+75,000) in the key demo.

MTP leads CBS by +30,000 total viewers and ABC by +434,000 total viewers season-to-date, its best advantage over both networks in five years. In the key demo, MTP leads CBS by +235,000 viewers (its biggest advantage in eight years) and ABC by +212,000 (its best advantage in six years).
