NEW YORK (July 25, 2017) – “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” ranked #1 in the demo for the week of July 17, averaging 1.6 million A25-54 viewers, leading “ABC World News Tonight” by +69,000 viewers (+4%) and “CBS Evening News” by +396,000 viewers (+33%). Nightly News has ranked #1 in A25-54 for 57 consecutive weeks. Nightly News won Tuesday night and Wednesday night across the board.
For the week, Nightly News averaged 1.1 million A18-49 viewers, topping ABC by +44,000 viewers (+4%) and CBS by +341,000 viewers (+42%). Among A18-49 viewers, Nightly News has won 102 of the last 103 weeks.
Nightly News averaged 7.2 million total viewers for the week of July 17, leading CBS Evening News by +1.7 million (+30%), marking its best advantage over CBS in 24 weeks.
Nightly News holds its largest demo lead over ABC in four seasons and biggest advantage over CBS in three seasons. Compared to last season, Nightly News’ demo lead over ABC is up by +4% and its lead over CBS is up +12%.
