“NBC News Daily” Delivers Largest Monthly Key Demo Audience in a Year, Largest Lead Over GMA3 on Record

Jan. 30, 2024 — NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on all of television in January, averaging 271,000 A25-54 viewers, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. 

NBC News Daily delivers its largest monthly A25-54 demo audience in 12 months and posts its largest monthly lead over GMA3 on record, improving its competitive position for the sixth consecutive month.

In total viewers, NBC News Daily posts its sixth straight month of viewership growth. NBC News Daily is up month-over-month across-the-board and year-over-year among total viewers.

Season-to-date, NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on all of TV in the A25-54 and A18-49 demos. Ranking #1 in A25-54, NBC News Daily leads GMA3 by +15,000 (+6%). In total viewers, NBC News Daily has cut the total viewer gap vs. GMA3 in half versus the same point last season.

NBC News Daily reaches even more viewers on its NBC News NOW streaming platform. Morgan Radford and Vicky Nguyen anchor the 12-2 p.m. ET hours, with Kate Snow and Zinhle Essamuah anchoring the 2-4 p.m. ET hours.
