Airs Tomorrow, January 23, on ‘NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt’ at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT, More Wednesday Morning on ‘TODAY’

January 22, 2024 – In an NBC News exclusive, Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci will sit down with NBC News’ Tom Costello for his first interview since a door plug of a Boeing 737 Max 9 plane detached during a flight earlier this year. The interview will air tomorrow on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT and Wednesday morning on TODAY.

Minicucci will discuss the actions the flight’s crew took following the mid-air emergency, Alaska Airlines’ increased oversight of the Boeing fleet and the impacts customers and the airline are facing following the grounding of Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes. Additional portions of the interview will also air on NBCNews.com, NBC News NOW and MSNBC throughout the week.
