Reaches over 4 Million Views on Digital as Audiences Consume over 300K Hours of MTP Content

August 15, 2023 — Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 Sunday public affairs show in the key demo this past Sunday, August 13, according to data from Nielsen Market Research. 

MTP also had its best week on digital platforms since February 2022, with viewers consuming over 300,000 hours of content across channels. 

#1 in the Key Demo this Past Sunday

This past Sunday, MTP averaged 361,000 viewers among audiences aged 25-54, topping the competition in the demo most valued by news advertisers. MTP bested ABC’s This Week by +2,000 (+1%) and CBS’s Face the Nation by +24,000 (+7%). 

MTP posted its best A25-54 advantage vs. CBS in 10 weeks and improved its positioning vs. ABC in both total viewers and the demo.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with 2024 GOP presidential candidate and former Vice President Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn). The program averaged 2.185 million total viewers.

An additional 184,000 total viewers and 48,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC. 

Sees Best Month on Digital Since February 2022

An additional 324,000 viewers watched the Sunday broadcast on YouTube this week, marking the second week in a row during which MTP has seen upwards of 300,000 viewers on the platform. 

MTP saw 4.4 million video views last week across digital platforms, marking a 110% improvement over the prior week, with viewers watching over 300,000 hours of content across MTP channels.

#1 in the Nation’s Capital for 8 Years Straight

MTP ranked #1 across the board this past week in the influential Washington, D.C. market, where it hasn’t lost a Sunday in total viewers in over eight years.
