NEW YORK – September 13, 2022 – NBC News’ TODAY was the number-one morning show last week topping ABC’s “Good Morning America” in the key demo A25-54, its best advantage in 20 weeks. TODAY also posted its largest total viewer delivery in 13 weeks, and was the only morning program to grow across the board versus the prior week.  

Season to date, TODAY is the top-rated morning show in the key demo for seven years straight, and number-one in A18-49 for 29 years straight. 

Last week, TODAY Digital reached 15.4 million unique visitors, growing both week over week and year over year.

TODAY averaged 523,000 A18-49 viewers, beating GMA by +30,000 (+6%) and leading CBS by +177,000 (+51%)

  • Vs. prior week, TODAY increased its total viewership by +70,000 (+3%), reduced the total viewer gap vs. GMA by 44% (-210,000 vs. -375,000 prior week), and improved its lead over CBS by 15%.
