  • Nightly News marks its largest total viewer and key demo audiences in nearly a year (since 2/21)
  • Nightly News is the #5 most-watched program in all of TV for the month, averaging nearly 8 million viewers, excluding specials, sports & syndication
  • For six consecutive months, Nightly News continues its upward trend of improving in total viewers vs. ABC’s World News Tonight, cutting the year-over-year viewership gap by +30% in January 
  • In year-over-year measurements, Nightly News improves its total viewer advantage over CBS by +11% and continues to beat the network in the key A25-54 demo for the 184 consecutive months
  • Nightly News marks its strongest month on YouTube since October, with over 700,000 video views

  • Averages 1.429 million A25-54 viewers, leading CBS by +448,000 (+46%), its biggest advantage over the network since Feb. 2021

  • Averages 1.017 million A18-49 viewers, beating CBS by +317,000 (+45%), its biggest advantage over the network in one year

  • In January, Nightly News full episodes and clips delivered more than 60 million monthly video views across on & off network platforms

  • Nightly News is the #2 most-watched program in all of TV last week with 8 million viewers, excluding specials, sports & syndication.
  • Nightly News improves gaps across the board versus ABC in week-over-week measurements and marks its smallest gap versus the network  in the key demo in six weeks (since 12/13/21) 
  • For six consecutive months, Nightly News continues its upward trend of improving in total viewers vs. ABC’s World News Tonight, cutting the year-over-year viewership gap by +34% in the most recent week
  • Season to date, Nightly News improves its competitive position versus ABC by 28% in total viewers and by 12% in the A25-54 demo compared to the same time period last year.

  • Averages 7.948 million total viewers, topping CBS by +2.362 million (+42%), an improvement of 12% over the network in week-over-week measurements
    • Week over week, Nightly News improves in total viewership vs. ABC by 7%
    • In year over year, Nightly News narrows the total viewership gap vs. ABC by 34%, its sixth consecutive month of its upward trend of improving in total viewers. Nightly also improves its advantage over CBS by 13% in year-over-year measurements 
  • Averages 1.413 million A25-54 viewers, leading CBS by +448,000 (+46%)
    • Week over week, Nightly News improves in the key demo vs. ABC by 29%, its smallest gap in six weeks (since 12/13/21)
    • In year over year, Nightly News improves the A25-54 demo gap vs. ABC by 41%, in its third consecutive month of its upward trend of improving in the key demo
  • Averages 1.004 million A18-49 viewers, beating CBS by +310,000 (+45%) 
    • Week over week, Nightly News improves in the A18-49 demo vs. ABC by 53%, its smallest gap in 9 weeks (since 11/22/21)
    • In year over year, Nightly News improves theA18-49 viewership gap vs. ABC by 63%
  • Marking its strongest week across digital since December, Nightly News saw 17.6 million video views and 1.4 million hours viewed on & off platforms, including clips and full episodes. 
  • On YouTube, weekday episodes reached 752,000 views and 599,000 viewers
