FEBRUARY 1, 2019 – NBC News and MSNBC will broadcast live coverage and real-time analysis of President Trump’s 2019 State of the Union address and the Democratic Party’s response on Tuesday, February 5. NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and TODAY co-anchor and NBC News chief legal analyst Savannah Guthrie, joined by Meet the Press moderator and NBC News political director Chuck Todd, lead network coverage live from 30 Rock in New York City.

Coverage begins at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT on the NBC television network.

The Rachel Maddow Show’sRachel Maddow and The 11th Hour’s Brian Williams lead MSNBC’s primetime coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET, anchoring from New York City. They will be joined by Nicolle Wallace, host of Deadline: White House and NBC News political analyst; Ari Melber, host of The Beat and MSNBC’s chief legal correspondent; Chris Matthews, host of Hardball; Chris Hayes, host of All In; Lawrence O’Donnell, host of The Last Word; Joy Reid,host of AM Joy and MSNBC political analyst;Eugene Robinson,NBC News andMSNBC contributor; and more, with live reports from NBC News’ White House and Capitol Hill teams on the ground in Washington D.C. MSNBC’s live in-depth analysis of the president’s address continues with Matthews at 12 a.m. ET andMelberat 1 a.m. ET.

Beginning at 8 p.m. ET, MSNBC Live anchor Ali Velshi will be live from New York City hosting special State of the Union coverage across NBC News digital platforms. Velshi, joined by a slate of special guests, will discuss the major issues from the president’s address as well as historic State of the Union moments, and presidential trivia.

NBCNews.com/SOTU will also offer complete coverage of the speech as well as the Democratic response, including livestreams of the network special report and NBC News Digital’s program. The site will also include speech highlights and reaction from Congress and 2020 candidates.  The livestream will also be available on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, as well as across OTT apps. NBC News’ Snapchat show Stay Tuned will provide previews of the speech on Monday and Tuesday with a full recap of the State of the Union and Democratic response on Wednesday.
