‘TODAY’ IS #1 FOR 11 CONSECUTIVE QUARTERS

TODAY Tops GMA for 11 Straight Quarters, 34 Consecutive Months and 131 Straight Weeks in Key A25-54 Demo

TODAY Continues Season-to-Date Wins in Demos

NEW YORK – July 3, 2018 – NBC News’ TODAY was the number-one morning show for the second quarter in 2018, topping ABC’s “Good Morning America” in the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos.  TODAY has now won 11 consecutive quarters, 34 straight months and 131 straight weeks in the A25-54 news demo.  TODAY was also number one among A18-49 for 22 consecutive quarters and 39 straight months.  For the second quarter, TODAY has improved vs. GMA by double digits in total viewers and increased its lead over CBS “This Morning” by 44% compared to the second quarter 2017.

Season-to-date, TODAY continues its reign at number one among A25-54 and A18-49 demos, and has improved in total viewers by 69% vs. GMA compared to the same point last season while also increasing its lead over CBS by 11%.

  • TODAY averaged 971,000 A18-49 viewers, leading ABC by +73,000 (+8%) and CBS by +367,000 (+61%)

TODAY averaged 3.923 million total viewers beating CBS by +735,000 (+23%)
