July 27, 2017 – On “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly,” actor and comedian Ricky Gervais talks to Kelly about his role as a comedian, among other topics, explaining: “…as a comic, you make the decision, do I pander to the 200 people in the room or the 200 million people watching around the world who aren’t winning awards? I’ve got to be that guy. I’ve got to be that outsider.” Gervais added, “I can’t go out there and start going, ‘Hey Brad [Pitt], see you Tuesday. Hey, George [Clooney], love to see–,’ it’s nauseating. So I have to play the outsider. I have to play the guy at home having a beer in his pants, right?” To view a preview, click here. “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” airs July 30 at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT.

On the broadcast, Kate Snow reports on the heated debate over talc, the main ingredient in Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder, which some believe can increase the risk of ovarian cancer. In the past 18 months, juries have ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay more than $300 million in damages while the company, which is appealing, insists that the ingredient is safe and that the science proves it. Snow sits down with lawyer Allen Smith and his client, Deane Berg, the first woman to sue Johnson & Johnson over the use of talc. Snow also speaks with Bart Williams, an attorney representing Johnson & Johnson, about why he believes women are not at risk.

Also on “Sunday Night,” NBC News correspondent Craig Melvin profiles Lou Adams, coach of Orr Academy’s basketball team on the west side of Chicago. More than a coach, Adams has been a mentor and savior to the boys on his team, working to help them get into college and save them from the violence around them. Additionally, NBC News correspondent Josh Mankiewicz goes on board to find out why flying has become so stressful.  Mankiewicz speaks with a former Spirit Airlines executive, as well as a Consumer’s Union passenger advocate, to figure out why it increasingly feels like airlines have forgotten how to treat their passengers.
