Catie Beck Joins NBC News

Below is a note to staff from David Verdi, SVP NBC News Worldwide Newsgathering:

All,

We are pleased to announce that Catie Beck has joined NBC News as a network correspondent. She will be based in the Southeast Bureau, reporting across all platforms of NBC News and MSNBC.

Catie comes to us from 11Alive, our NBC station in Atlanta, where she has been an investigative reporter focusing on government corruption since 2013. She previously worked in Richmond, Virginia following stops in Minnesota, Florida and Texas.

Catie has earned a reputation as a government watchdog reporter known for delivering results-driven investigations and holding the powerful accountable. Her investigative pieces targeted elected officials as well as law enforcement, and often yielded significant changes in both process and leadership. Her work has been rewarded with numerous honors, including multiple Emmys and awards for investigative journalism, and we’re confident that her keen eye and in-depth reporting skills will be a great value to our team of correspondents.

A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Catie graduated from Fordham University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies and later received a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from American University.

Please join us in welcoming Catie to NBC News.

David
