“MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD” IS #1 ACROSS THE BOARD

NBC Broadcast Beats CBS for Second Time in Three Broadcasts; Post 20th Straight Win over ABC

MTP Continues to Post Double-Digit Gains Year to Year

JUNE 23, 2016 — “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” was the #1 Sunday public affairs program in total viewers and all key demos on Sunday, June 19, 2016.  This marks MTP’s second total viewer win over CBS’ “Face the Nation” in the last three regularly-scheduled broadcasts, and the 20th consecutive total viewer win over ABC’s “This Week.” In the demo, MTP has now topped ABC for 12 straight broadcasts and CBS for 13 straight broadcasts.

MTP drew 3.2 million total viewers, +518,000 ahead of “This Week” and +12,000 over “Face the Nation” — which continues to rate only 30 minutes despite airing as a full contiguous hour in over 3/4 of the country. In the A25-54 demo, MTP topped ABC by +234,000 viewers and CBS by +206,000.

The NBC program also delivered the biggest year-over-year gains among the competition, growing by double digits in both total viewers (+30%) and the demo (+28%) versus the same Sunday in 2015.

MTP continues to lead the influential Washington, D.C. market by a wide margin in both total viewers and the key demo, and has ranked #1 in total viewers every Sunday in Washington for over a year (since 3/22/2015).

“Meet the Press” drew an additional 1.535 million total viewers and 508,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts on the NBC network and MSNBC.
