We are pleased to announce three new correspondents who will be joining us in the coming weeks.

Tammy Leitner will join NBC News as a correspondent starting in early June. She comes to us from WMAQ, our station in Chicago, where she worked as an investigative reporter.

Her reputation for enterprising reporting and hard-hitting journalism is evidenced by her wide range of award-winning investigations, including an in-depth series on Agent Orange that triggered action by the U.S. Military as well as the South Korean government and her reporting on gun trafficking and organized crime at the Mexican border. Prior to her time at WMAQ, Tammy worked at WCBS in New York and spent eleven years at KPHO in Phoenix, AZ. A native of San Diego, CA, she graduated from UCLA and received a Master’s degree from Boston University.

Matt Bradley will join NBC News as a correspondent based in London starting in early June. He comes to us from the Wall Street Journal, where he covered the Middle East, most recently reporting from Baghdad.

Prior to working at the Journal, Matt served as a reporter and foreign correspondent for The National, where he covered political and military stories across Egypt. Matt graduated from Duke University with a degree in English, Economics and French.

Also this summer, Lucy Kafanov will join NBC News as a correspondent based in London. For the past four years, Lucy has worked as a freelance journalist reporting from several of the Middle East’s hotspots for the Christian Science Monitor, Newsweek, VICE News, Al Jazeera, Vocativ and USA Today.

With a gift for storytelling, Lucy always brings a level of humanity to her reporting, most recently with her accounts on the plight of migrants in the refugee crisis and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Before moving abroad, Lucy covered Capitol Hill as a print reporter and worked as a producer for PBS NewsHour. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the George Washington University.
