“TODAY” TOWN HALL: BERNIE SANDERS SAYS “OF COURSE” CLINTON IS QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT

APRIL 8, 2016 — In an exclusive town hall on NBC News’ “TODAY,” Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders said “of course” his opponent Hillary Clinton is qualified to president, stating: “I’ve known Hillary Clinton for 25 years. I respect Hillary Clinton. We were colleagues in the Senate. And on her worst day, she will be — she would be an infinitely better president than either of the Republican candidates.”

Sanders joined Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie live on the TODAY plaza this morning to discuss the tone of the campaign, women’s rights and pay, his health care plan, how he would break up big banks, and when he thinks sellers of guns should be sued. He also vowed to continue his political “revolution” among young people – and endorsed pastrami over corned beef.
