For 9th Consecutive Week, MTP Tops CBS’s “Face the Nation” Half-Hour in Demo
MTP Momentum Delivers Double-Digit Growth Year-Over-Year; Biggest Audience in More Than Five Months
AUGUST 13, 2015 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) delivered its third consecutive win over ABC’s “This Week” in total viewers for Sunday, Aug. 9, averaging 3.226 million viewers: +99,000 more viewers than ABC. In the A25-54 demo, MTP topped CBS’s “Face the Nation” (FTN) half-hour in its ninth straight win with +49,000 more viewers.
This marks MTP’s largest total viewer audience in over five months (since March 1) and largest demo audience in three months (since May 10).
FTN continues to claim ratings on its first half-hour, despite airing as a full contiguous hour in more than three-fourths of the country. “This Week” was rated for only 34 minutes of its hour-long broadcast on Aug. 9.
The MTP audience continues to grow with double-digit gains across the board year-over-year: +33% in total viewers, +16% in the A25-54 demo; +11% in the A18-49 demo. MTP also grew week-over-week: +15% in total viewers and +7% in the A25-54 demo.
MTP also continues to dominate the airwaves in the influential Washington, D.C. market, leading competition in total viewers.
MTP delivered an additional 1.055 million total viewers and 383,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts on the NBC network and on MSNBC.
