“MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD” IS #1 IN THE KEY DEMO, MAINTAINS DOMINANT DIGITAL PERFORMANCE

May 16, 2023 — Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 Sunday public affairs show in the demo most valued by news advertisers this past Sunday, May 14, according to data from Nielsen Market Research. 

On digital, MTP garnered over 100,000 viewers of the full broadcast on YouTube and reached over a million video views brand-wide last week.

#1 in the Key Demo This Past Sunday

This past Sunday, MTP averaged 453,000 viewers in the key demo, topping CBS’s Face the Nation by +16,000 (+4%) and ABC’s This Week by +19,000 (+4%). MTP posted its largest key demo audience in four weeks. 

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), former Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas), and evangelical leader and Christianity Today Editor-in-Chief Russell Moore. The program averaged 2.275 million total viewers. 

An additional 154,000 viewers and 38,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC. 

Continues Dominance on Digital Platforms

MTP saw 1.3 million video views and 187,000 hours viewed last week across digital platforms, posting 30% increases from the prior week. 

The Sunday program gained over 100,000 total viewers on YouTube. 

#1 in Nation’s Capital for 8 Years Straight

MTP continued its winning streak among viewers in the influential Washington, D.C. market, where it hasn’t lost a Sunday in total viewers in over eight years.
