May 2, 2023 — Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 Sunday public affairs show this past Sunday, April 30, according to data from Nielsen Market Research. MTP also improved on its monthly total viewer audience in April.
On digital, MTP full episodes averaged 271,000 viewers on YouTube last month.

#1 in Total Viewers This Past Sunday
This past Sunday, MTP averaged 2.568 million total viewers, topping CBS’s Face the Nation by +36,000 (+1%) and ABC’s This Week by +24,000 (+1%). MTP bested its broadcast peers in total viewership for the first time since early 2021.
MTP increased its audience across the board compared to last week and was the only Sunday public affairs program to increase its total viewer audience compared to the prior year.
MTP also topped This Week (+25,000, +6%) in the crucial 25-54 age demo, which is most valued by news advertisers, averaging 467,000 viewers. It trailed Face the Nation, which rates for only 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast, by just eight percent in the key demo. An additional 135,000 viewers and 55,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Reaches 6 Million Views on Digital in April
MTP reached 6 million views on digital in the month of April and full episodes averaged 271,000 viewers on YouTube each week.
