October 27, 2021 — All next week, Lester Holt will travel “Across America,” anchoring NBC Nightly News from five different cities. Holt will report from the ground, beginning Monday, Nov. 1, taking the pulse of Americans on the highs and lows they are facing almost two years into the global pandemic.
The “Across America” series kicks off its sixth installment in Austin, Texas on Monday and continues in St. Louis, Missouri, Washington, D.C., Nashville, Tennessee and Phoenix, Arizona. Holt will take an in-depth look at how the pandemic is impacting the cities’ real estate markets, school structures, crime rates and political systems, and he will also speak to residents who are making a difference in their communities.
Additionally on Wednesday, November 3, Holt will sit down for a one-on-one exclusive interview with General Mark Milley in Washington, D.C.during the Aspen Security Forum. Parts of the interview will air that night on NBC Nightly News. He will also anchor a special edition of NBC Nightly News: Kids Edition from the road on Thursday, November 4.
