Only Sunday Show to Grow Week Over Week in Key Demo

Reaches More Than 2 Million Video Views Across Digital Platforms

March 16, 2021 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, March 14, according to Nielsen Media Research.

#1 in Key Demo for 4 Straight Weeks; Tops Competition by Double Digits

MTP was #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers and topped both ABC and CBS by double digits. MTP averaged 756,000 A25-54 viewers: +29 percent (+171,000) more than ABC’s This Week and +32 percent (+182,000) more than CBS’s Face the Nation. This marks MTP’s best A25-54 viewer delivery in five weeks (since Feb. 7, 2021) and best advantages over ABC and CBS in eight weeks (since Jan. 17, 2021). Compared to last week, MTP was the only Sunday show to grow and was up +12 percent (+78,000). Season-to-date, MTP remains #1 in the key demo for six straight years. 

MTP averaged 3.142 million total viewers: nine percent (+260,000) more than ABC. Just one percent separated MTP from CBS, which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast and follows the highly rated CBS Sunday Morning.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as Stacey Abrams, founder of Fair Fight and former Georgia House Minority Leader and Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R-Ga.) who both joined the program for a special discussion on efforts by Republican state legislators to enact new election restrictions.

An additional 189,000 total viewers and 68,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.

Reaches More Than 2 Million Video Views Across Digital

MTP reached 2.1 million video views and 382,000 hours watched across digital platforms.

This past Sunday’s full episode has currently reached more than 506,000 views and 422,000 viewers. And, the full episode that aired last Sunday, March 7 saw 890,000 views on YouTube and 699,000 viewers.

Almost Six Years as #1 Most Watched Sunday Show in Washington, D.C. 

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, more than tripling the competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers in almost six years (since March 22, 2015).
