NBC’S ‘TODAY’ LAUNCHES ALL-NEW “TODAY PARENTING TEAM”

First-Ever Cross-Platform Parenting Community Where TODAY Anchors, Parents and Viewers Can Join Together to Help Solve Everyday Problems

NEW YORK, NY, March 3, 2015 – This morning, NBC’s TODAY announced the debut of its all-new TODAY Parenting Team, a cross-platform community designed to connect parents together and offer solution-oriented advice.  Inspired by a recent baby boom at TODAY, and the show’s ongoing parenting conversations on the air, behind the scenes, and among viewers, the TODAY Parenting Team was born.  This first-of-its-kind parenting community will integrate the power of TODAY’s anchors, experts and audiences to help solve everyday challenges faced by today’s parents.

The TODAY Parenting Team kicked off its first monthly challenge this morning: “What did you wish you knew before you brought your baby home?” Audiences are invited to join the team and share their unique perspectives, vote on their favorite posts, and read essays from TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist, Sheinelle Jones, Jenna Wolfe and Jenna Bush Hager (http://TODAY.com/ParentingTeam). The TODAY Parenting Team platform also features posts from New York Times best-selling authors Glennon Doyle Melton of Momastery.com, Jill Smokler of Scary Mommy, and many more.

Contributions to the community will help create new content on TODAY.com and the broadcast.   TODAY will explore the team’s answers in a three-day series at the end of March sourcing the community for on-air guests and panels dedicated to educating parents.
