‘TODAY’ Announces New Book Club Pick: “Positive: A Memoir” By Paige Rawl

Jenna Bush Hager Will Host TODAY’s Book Club Discussion From NYC Town Hall Friday, November 14 Paige Rawl tells Jenna Bush Hager: “People out there have this stigma against HIV and I think that’s why I’m sharing my story.”

NEW YORK — September 29, 2014 — NBC’s TODAY announced Positive, a powerful new memoir by author and HIV/AIDS activist Paige Rawl, as its first nonfiction pick for the TODAY Book Club. NBC’s Jenna Bush Hager will join Rawl for a Q&A session about her memoir at The Atlantic and MAC AIDS Fund’s Town Hall on Activism on Friday, November 14. The Town Hall on Activism convenes leaders around the country for a discussion on social justice and philanthropy to inspire positive action. Rawl will also discuss her participation in the upcoming documentary “It’s Not Over,” which profiles young people growing up with HIV/AIDS.

In Positive, 20-year-old Paige Rawl shares her remarkable story of growing up HIV positive and overcoming bullying and discrimination to change her world for the better. Rawl’s memoir, universally relatable for both children and adults, was released in the U.S. on August 26 by HarperCollins Children’s Books.
