THROUGHOUT THIS WEEK – NBC NEWS EXPLORES HOW STUDENTS ARE COPING WITH KEY COLLEGE DECISIONS DURING AN UNPRECEDENTED YEAR

‘Kids Under Pressure: College Admissions’ Begins Today Across TODAY, Nightly News, MSNBC, NBC News Now & Stay Tuned

Monday, March 22, 2021 –  Beginning today, NBC News will feature in-depth coverage on how the Covid-19 pandemic is impacting the future of college education. The week-long series, “Kids Under Pressure: College Admissions,” airs across TODAY, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, NBC News NOW and Stay Tuned.

During this critical time of year when students are pressed to make decisions about college, “Kids Under Pressure” will examine how the pandemic is affecting financial aid packages and student loans; the future of standardized tests; the increasing racial and socioeconomic disparities in college enrollment; the rise of cheating and how institutions are trying to combat it, and more.

NBC News correspondents Kate Snow, Rehema Ellis, Stephanie Ruhle, Priscilla Thompson, Savannah Sellers, Antonia Hylton and others will report throughout the week.

This week’s coverage marks another installment of NBC News’ “Kids Under Pressure” series, which looks at the toll of the pandemic on student education and well-being. The network-wide reporting is driven by a groundbreaking study conducted with Challenge Success, a nonprofit of the Stanford Graduate School of Education.
