“MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD” IS #1 IN KEY DEMO FOR 15 STRAIGHT MONTHS

Best Across-the-Board Monthly Deliveries in 5 Months

#1 In Key A25-54 Demo on Sunday

Wins Every Sunday Among Total Viewers In The Nation’s Capital in Over Five Years

October 27, 2020 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo for the month of October and this past Sunday, October 25, according to Nielsen Media Research.

October marked MTP’s 15th consecutive month at #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers and fifth straight October win.

MTP averaged 755,000 A25-54 key demo viewers for the month of October: eight percent (+58,000) more than ABC’s This Week and three percent (+22,000) more than CBS’s Face the Nation. This marks MTP’s best A25-54 monthly delivery in five months (since May 2020).

MTP averaged 3.469 million total viewers, topping ABC by eight percent (+251,000). Seven percent separated MTP from CBS, which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast and follows the highly-rated CBS Sunday Morning. Compared to last October, MTP was up six percent (+207,000).

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Trump Campaign Senior Adviser Corey Lewandowski; Biden Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director Kate Bedingfield; Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio); and Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-Va.).

MTP was also the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the demo most valued by news advertisers this past Sunday, October 25 and averaged 797,000 A25-54 viewers. MTP topped ABC by nine percent (+63,000) and CBS by +17 percent (+118,000). This marks MTP’s best A25-54 viewer delivery in 17 weeks (since June 21, 2020). Compared to last week, MTP was up +11 percent (+78,000).

MTP averaged 3.408 million total viewers, four percent (+123,000) more than ABC’s This Week. Just three percent separated MTP from CBS, which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast and follows the highly-rated CBS Sunday Morning.

An additional 222,000 total viewers and 73,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, more than tripling the competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers in over five years (since March 22, 2015).

Tune in to MSNBC’s MTP Daily weekdays at 1 p.m. ET for more from moderator Chuck Todd, and follow the broadcast on Facebook and on Twitter for the latest.
