Beats Competition by Double Digits in the Key Demo in October

October 29, 2019 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board for the month of October, according to Nielsen Media Research.

This marks MTP’s third consecutive monthly win across the board. An average of 3.261 million total viewers tuned into MTP in October: +19 percent (+523,000) more than ABC’s This Week and eight percent (+247,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation. Compared to the prior month, MTP was up +10 percent.

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers in October and topped both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 779,000 A25-54 viewers tuned in for the month: +22 percent (+139,000) more than ABC and +22 percent (+141,000) more than CBS. This marks MTP’s fourth straight October win. Compared to the prior month, MTP was up +14 percent.

This past Sunday featured interviews with White House National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries. MTP was retitled this past Sunday, October 27 due to significant pre-emptions for special report coverage.

Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its best total viewer lead over ABC in eight years and CBS in ten years.
