NEW YORK (July 6, 2017) – “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” ranked #1 in the demo for the week of June 26, averaging 1.6 million A25-54 viewers, leading “ABC World News Tonight” by +198,000 viewers (+14%) and “CBS Evening News” by +408,000 viewers (+34%). Nightly News has ranked #1 in A25-54 for 54 consecutive weeks. Week to week, Nightly News improved its A25-54 lead over ABC by +58% (+198,000 vs. +125,000 prior week).

For the week, Nightly News averaged 1.2 million A18-49 viewers, topping ABC by +228,000 viewers (+24%) and CBS by +411,000 viewers (+53%). Among A18-49 viewers, Nightly News has won 99 of the last 100 weeks. Nightly News posted multi-month highs in its A18-49 advantages, with its biggest win over ABC in two months and widest lead over CBS in three months. The NBC News broadcast increased its A18-49 lead over ABC increased by +70% from the previous week and by +31% compared to the same week last year.

Nightly News averaged 7.2 million total viewers for the week of June 26, leading CBS Evening News by +1.5 million (+26%).

Nightly News holds its largest demo lead over ABC in four seasons and biggest advantage over CBS in three seasons. Compared to last season, Nightly News’ demo lead over ABC is up by +10% and its lead over CBS is up +13%.
