NBC NEWS DIGITAL REACHES 50 MILLION VIDEO STARTS FOR PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE CONTENT

NEW YORK (October 21, 2016) – NBC News Digital saw a total of 50M video starts, including of 17.5M live streams, across all platforms for content around the three presidential debates.  Debate video content on NBC News’ social channels reached more than 27M starts.

In NBC News’ live stream on YouTube’s platform, users spent an average of 22 minutes watching the debates. In NBC News’ Virtual Democracy Plaza (debate watch parties with live stream), participants spent an average of 31 minutes in the experience.

During the third presidential debate, NBC News Digital reached 15M video starts for debate content across all platforms and channels, including more than 5.8M live streams during the debate on Wednesday. (Source: Adobe Analytics)
