NBC Broadcast Posts Gains In Key Demo Week To Week And Year To Year

Nightly is #1 Across The Board For 14th Straight Week, Marks 19th Straight Total Viewer Win

NOVEMBER 3, 2015 – “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” delivered its biggest total viewer audience in four weeks and its 14th consecutive win in total viewers and all demos. Nightly has been #1 across the board for 18 out of the last 19 weeks, and #1 in total viewers all 19 weeks since Holt was named anchor.

Week-to-week, Nightly was up in total viewers (+5%, or +384,000), A25-54 viewers (+1%, or +14,000), and A18-49 viewers (+1,000).

The NBC broadcast also delivered gains compared to the same week last season among A25-54 viewers (+3%, or +60,000) and A18-49 viewers (+4%, or +50,000).

Season-to-date, Nightly is the #1 evening news program in total viewers and all key demographics.

Weekly Highlights:

Nightly averaged 8.506 million total viewers, outperforming ABC by +17,000 and CBS by +1.258 million (+17%).
Nightly has been #1 in total viewers for 24 of the last 27 weeks, and 312 of the last 319 weeks.
Nightly averaged 1.978 million A25-54 viewers, +2% (+41,000) ahead than ABC and +15% (+259,000) more than CBS.
Nightly has been #1 in A25-54 for 14 consecutive weeks and 18 of the last 19 weeks.
Nightly averaged 1.403 million A18-49 viewers, leading +9% (+116,000) higher than ABC and +17% (+200,000) more than CBS.
Nightly has been #1 in A18-49 for 14 consecutive weeks and 18 of the last 19 weeks.
