Morgan Radford Joins NBC News

A Note from David Verdi, SVP of Newsgathering —

I’m pleased to announce that Morgan Radford is joining NBC News as a network correspondent based in New York, starting in early September. Morgan comes to us from Al Jazeera America, where she has been an anchor and correspondent since 2013. Prior to Al Jazeera America, she was an anchor for ABC News Now.

In a short amount of time, Morgan has built a broad range of experience covering domestic and international stories, including the 2012 Presidential election, the Boston Marathon bombing, the Washington Navy Yard shooting, the Metro-North train crash, the evolution of U.S./ Cuban relations and the legacy of Nelson Mandela.

A native of Greensboro, NC, Morgan graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Social Studies, where she received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in South Africa. She also holds a Master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University.

Morgan will be a fantastic addition to our team of correspondents, with her passion for sharp feature stories and her valuable experience reporting across platforms.

Please join me in welcoming Morgan to NBC News.

David
