NBC Broadcast is #1 in Total Viewers for First Time Since Chuck Todd’s Debut Show

MTP Continues to Post Strong Growth Week-to-Week, Season-to-Date, and Year-to -Year

FEBRUARY 26, 2015 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program on February 22, according to Nielsen Media Research data.  This marks MTP’s first #1 total viewer delivery since Chuck Todd’s debut show on 9/7/14.

Among viewers A25-54, MTP narrowed the gap to just 3,000 viewers compared to Face the Nation’s half hour average — but topped the Face the Nation full hour by 206,000 viewers. MTP led This Week by 219,000 viewers A25-54.

The NBC broadcast continues to post significant ratings growth and drive the political conversation:

  • This marks MTP’s biggest win over This Week in both total viewers and the demo since 6/22/14.
  • Week over week, MTP was up +9% among Total Viewers and +6% in A25-54 viewers.
  • Versus the same broadcast last season, MTP posted a +37% gain in total viewers and +12% gain among A25-54 viewers.
  • Compared to 1Q15-to-date levels, MTP saw a gain of +7% among total viewers and +2% in A25-54 viewers.
  • MTP continues to post growth compared to season-to-date levels, up +16% among total viewers and +14% in A25-54 viewers.
  • MTP is a dominant #1 in Washington, DC, topping the competition in both total viewers and the demo.

MTP delivered an additional 993,000 total viewers and 429,000 viewers A25-54 with rebroadcasts on the NBC network and MSNBC.
